More About IT Support Specialist

IT Support Specialists assist computer users and organizations by analyzing, troubleshooting and evaluating computer problems, whether they involve an organization’s network or a personal computer. They maintain an organization’s system, troubleshoot household computer issues, and give instructions on specific business-centric programs. Some of their duties include:

  • Test and evaluate existing networks
  • Perform regular maintenance to ensure the network is working correctly
  • Troubleshoot problems with the network
  • Walk customers through problem-solving steps
  • Set up or repair computer equipment and devices
  • Train users on how to use the hardware and software
